I wonder how many people start down the transition road to gender change, then decide against it. How many people enter therapy and discover that transitioning is just not right for them? I would imagine that more people change their minds about transitioning than the numbers who actually go through with sexual reassignment surgery. After all, there are hundreds of thousands, if not millions, who identify as transgender people in the world. But only a tiny number of them will actually have SRS and change official gender status. I suppose that is the difference between transgender people and those who switch sides but stay within the binary gender system.
