Ok I cancelled my first appointment with GP last minute, I'm weak :(
Made another, and this post is here to make sure I follow through with it!
I need to get things moving instead of not even facing that first hurdle argh! So tired of being stuck like this!
The result I want from this appointment: referral to mental health place for therapy!!

First steps can be really scary but have courage it will go better than you think.

I let fear stop me from doing many things over the years. I regret all of the things I've lost because of fear. Don't let it stop you!

Besides, we want to hear how your appoinment goes.

People have told me to think of exictement instead of fear. I could never understand thus unti recently. It's an exciting adventure.

Good job, Nikki!

I hope that you follow through with your appointment this time, but don't be too hard on yourself. You and only you dictate the pace of your transition process. It's important that you be in a place where you are comfortable with moving along. I wish you luck when you go!

Hugs,

Jackie

And in order to be comfortable as one moves along, one has to START.

I think starting is scary for most of us, but the feeling after that first session is liberating and exhilerating.

Go for it. You'll be glad.

Argh! Called to confirm my appointment today, and got a response "your new patient check is at xxxxx" nightmare never changed doctors before so didn't know you have to have a first check appointment, not sure if I should bring gender issues up there or make another appointment after?
