"wait ,so first you said you where asexual and now your telling me your transsexual ? ... if your not going to do it why do you want a sex change ?"

classic.
I've had the exact same conversation. With my parents.

"You wanna have a sex change?! But... you were always such a typical little boy!"
"Mom, I loved My Little Pony, hated sports, never liked toy weapons, and never liked action-filled entertainment. God's sake, I was 12 before Ninja Turtles stopped being too scary for me!"
"But... you were just a typical little, modern, softer boy!"

She has a point, in that I never had any stereotypically feminine interests (excepting My Little Pony, The Little Mermaid, and other stuff I'd watch eagerly as soon as I could use the "my little sister wants to watch it!" excuse). But, it's not like I had any stereotypically masculine ones, either!

I hate to admit it, but I had this same thought about a month ago.  I realized that I couldn't be trans because I am perfectly happy as a guy and don't feel like a girl.  I had a wonderfully relieved few moments until reality kicked in.  Sometimes I forget that I'm not a bioguy when I'm just hanging out by myself.
*sigh* I've done that, too.

"Seems some trans women experience [X]. Well, it's an outrage, of course. Just glad I'll never have to go through that, because I'm not... waitaminute!"

I've done that too.  I'll wake up from a nap and think "It's so awesome being a guy."  Then reality hits.

The other day I was talking with a friend of mine.  Went something like this:
Her:  You like guys too?!
Me:  Yeah.
Her:  Well, what's the point of getting a sex change if you're going to be with a man?!
Me: *facepalm* Sexual orientation is not the same as gender identity.

My friend has repeatedly asked me if she could see my penis when I get one. No matter how many times I try to explain things to her, she just doesn't understand that:
a) It's likely that I will never have bottom surgery
b) It would be weird to ask a normal guy that, so why would you ask me?
c) OMG You've been my best friend for most of my life that's so awkward why would you ask me thatfjwjdbgkwka

She's pretty strange.

This is more of oddest thing I've ever been asked which was totally a happy moment. My friend asked me how big it was and asked me if I was circumcised

I think my oddest was when I told my friend I was transitioning. She said, "Will it work?"  Then kissed me of all things.

Too bad she don't talk to me anymore.

When I first came out to my mom she ran around yelling "You want to grow a penis!!!!!!!!!!!"
A few months ago she said "What if the surgery goes wrong and you end up not fully being a man, but not fully a woman either?"

Tell her she can see it if she wants to be the first to try it out.

dad " I'M OKAY WITH YOU BEING A LESBIAN ! You don't have to do this !"
me " Dad I'm not into relationships in general, I want to because I'm going crazy!"
dad "But you don't like penis !"
me "not in the way you'd imagine it."

This totally made my day! You rock!
