JORDAN FENSTER: Rock songs about transvestites? There are more than you might think

I'd like to begin by saying that there is not one ounce of judgment in the following column. To each his (or her) own, as the saying goes. And don't try to read in to the following for some nefarious impetus. As Mark Twain said, "Persons attempting to find a motive in this narrative will be shot."

That being said, here's my list of pop songs about transvestites.

There are actually a surprising number of songs that, if not about transvestites, include a run-in with a transvestite in the lyrical plot. I do find it a bit strange, in this puritanical society of ours, that there are so many songs about men who dress like women and the straight men who either enjoy their company or are fooled by them.
