So, I'm going back to school.
I'm gonna study for 1 year to do a test so I can get into college.
Since I still didn't change my name, I had to explain the whole situation of being trans so I could be called by my chosen name and also could use the male restroom.
I was hoping for the best, but ready for the worst. And, for my surprise, everything went fine. :D
They said it's ok for me to use the male restroom and that everyone would recognize me as male.
They still haven't figured out a way for me to use my chosen name at the files, and I'm not pretty sure if they'll find.
But I guess any of my colleagues will see my files, so just the people that works there will know about me being trans, and if they don't tell anybody it's ok for me.

Just telling that story to spread some hope.
Things can go well sometimes! xD

That's awesome for you.  I hope if I ever have to come out to a school or business it goes that well.  Good luck.

Marcelo,

That is awesome. Getting a good education is an investment in yourself that you will never regret. And the fact that they are being understanding makes it even better!

Good luck man.

Speak with the individual instructors, they'd have to report your grades under your legal name, but as long as they know who Marcelo is, it shouldn't be a problem for you to use that name on all your tests and papers.
Our biograhies are our own and we need to accept our own diversity without being ashamed that we're somehow not trans enough.

That sounds great. I wish I could talk to the people at my college about my name. I'm just too nervous to do that.
Every day brings me one step closer to being myself.

I'm hoping to be full-time or nearly full-time by the time I get to college, so it's just a matter of addressing proper pronouns and restrooms.
Thank Jebuss for letting me be born given a male name! 8D
