THE ex-lover of Scotland's first transsexual prisoner yesterday blamed jail life for turning him gay.

Heartbroken Karyanne Fraser, 35, claims her world was turned upside down last summer when convicted drugs dealer William Wallace told her he was homosexual.

She was then hit with a double whammy when the cocaine and heroin peddler said he wanted to become a woman and change his name to Cassie.

If she is like me then her transition just might quite some of the demons that drove her to deal dope.

Also I take a certain amount of insult to your statement.
Years ago I was in serious pain after a car wreck. As I had not broken bones and I had no insurance I could not get any pain killers. Lucky for me there was a heroin dealer in the neighborhood. Yes I did heroin for a period of two weeks as I suffered in silence in my livingroom. And I am glad it was available. Blackmarket goods are a mixed blessing/curse.

Just because you disagree with the black markets does not justify your 'the world is better off without them' attitude.

I find it very hard to believe that the world is better without certain people in it. I mean, what kind of arbitrary standard is 'better'? Who gets to judge what is 'better'?

I had an uncle who had a superio intellect, he got  PhD's in neginering from Yale University at the time, he was a poet, a very compasionate an, and very tolerant. Life around him was a joy. I learned so much around him. One day he fell to the adiction of cocaine, and eventually lost every thing, money, family, and eventually his life. I know that we could just blame his lack of character or something like that,m but the drug dealer that first gave him frre cocaine, and then robe him of his life does in my book deserves to be dead. I feel anybody who has experinced a similar story wold agre with me that we woyld be better withut them. Just my opinion no disrespect intended

I have been/was a drug dealer/drug adict years ago. I have seen people decide to throw it all away for drugs. But it is never the drugs that are killing them. It is themselves.
When confronted about such behaivior they never care. There is ALWAYS something pushing them to self destruct.
Cutting them off of supply makes no diferance, they will score elsewhere or find anouther substance to self destruct with. If they can't get the hard stuff they will use the ligheter stuff to sever excess.
There are responsible users you would have no clue are ussing and there are is self destruction crowd.

I could not condemn another human being to death, no matter what they had done to me.
Would you pull the trigger Perlita? Or would you push the knife through his heart with your bare hands, in order to exact your vengeance?
You'll find that wishing someone dead, then facing the reality of having to end someone's life are two very different things.

Besides, your uncle didn't have to use the cocaine. He made a choice (albeit a bad one).
You shouldn't blame the drug dealer for your uncle's choice.
