Hey guys,
I was thinking about this last night in our very hot summer here in Melbourne.
Since I started HRT my breasts took, i went from flat to a b-cup in about 6 months and then started to full out. as soon as I started growing I stopped going topless (something I do miss, but most of the beaches we go to are tops on)
anyway my point/question is:

When you had you top done how did you feel about going topless at the beach. did it feel like you were a little bit more free or was it just a nothing on the way to living your life as you feel?

Girls, you can also answer it as well about when you started to grow and then going topless
Yes! I'm single
And you'll have to be pretty f'ing amazing to change that

Hi Nicole.

Well, I haven't had my top done but I think I could answer this.

I always picture the day I am completely healed after the surgery and I picture myself outside, running with my dog, without a shirt. Once I get the surgery, I'm gonna be so proud of my new chest :) I mean, when people drive by, they will see a man running with his dog. Never, would they think I was a female, because I'm running shirtless and have other masculine features.

So yeah, I would feel free without a shirt and it would def. help me feel as if I'm living the right way.

Hope I answered your question :)

Mine's not done either, but yes I think I will feel more free. Don't know how other guys feel, but one thing I've always resented since puberty, was that  awful extra step after a shower when I have to put a bra (now a binder) on, it just always felt wrong, like I shouldn't have to be doing that and it really put a damper on what should have been a nice bathing ritual.
Nero was the Forum Admin here at Susan's Place for several years up to the time of his death.

I have wonderful dreams about going to the beach post-chest surgery. I just feel so...suffocated in all my layers. Putting on my binder in the morning is torture because I feel claustrophobic from the minute it goes on, plus the several layers of clothing on top of it to sufficiently hide my chest. Summers are deathly for me; I almost had a heat stroke last summer.
To be free, and to simply take off my shirt when exercising or when I'm too hot...god, I could almost cry thinking about it.

Sometimes I think I could just rip the suckers right off my chest. Might scar though

I agree with all of yall. It is so abnormal and awkward for me to wear a bra/binder.

I just came back from two weeks in Mexico and it was an amazing experience spending two weeks hanging around on the beach with my shirt off. My scars have faded to the point where they're not noticeable except close up, so I didn't have any self-consciousness (well, except for the beer gut - that's a New Years resolution).

Definitely freeing, definitely a milestone. And I got a tan on parts of my body that haven't seen the sun since I was 12 years old. I used to always wear a t-shirt to the beach and swimming.

I am sufficiently small not to have to wear a bra, but not enough that I can run on the beach topless and people would think I'm male. Maybe that is why I don't do beach. However, I am sufficiently male looking for people not to glance at my chest first. In that way I'm fortunate. :)

LOL - sounds like a complete transition, especially the beer gut.  ;D

I haven't had "my top done" and the beach is too cold to go topless but (three years on HRT) I find going topless very natural.
