I just bought 100 for 99 cents (13USD shippin) from Ebay.
Theres a few months supply. Not like I'll end up pregnant or with some strange disease if it breaks.
Besides, I trust Bob (#2)  :)

Yah, I got like 144 for $3 NZ.
Apparently I can stop using them now if I want to; though I'm a bit of a clean freak when it comes to my lady parts, so I'll keep using them for as long as I can get them cheap.

as i've been only sleeping with ma chap for 4 years or so now...

We both got checked out... some years back.... so have no use for them...

And no he's not the type to go sleeping around with other chicks...

I don't like em anyways.... the smell the fiddling etc, etc....

But obviously if you're into one nite stands and casual sleeps arounds there a must do....

I've never understood why some surgeons have you waste your money on those.  A medical grade stent/dilator does NOT require a condom.  A quick rinse off with warm water and anti-bacterial soap and then let them dry.  My surgeon also did NOT advise douching either.  I'm coming up on 3.5 years since surgery and no UTI's or yeast infections, so I must be doing something right.

Really? So you walk around with several week's worth of lube up your vagina?

Actually I don't sleep around. I have had one relationship in the past 30 years.

The dialtors I got have a very slight ridging which hurts.
The condoms keep them clean are sterile and are disposable.

The vagina cleans it self. douching is bad, your taking out good bacteria and increases your chances of getting a yeast infection.

Not during the initial 6 months after surgery it doesn't, there will be a constant flow of sloughing skin fermenting in your vaginal canal. If you don't douche, you will stink.

Condoms and lube, free at any community clinic or planned parenthood (bags worth).  Most collages as well.  Just a FYI.  When it comes to safe sex cost is never an excuse.

Remember to check exp. dates and condition.  When I did a community health event with my unit we received a shipment of condoms with safe sex information packets STAPLED to the each condom...that was a pure distilled awesome in a bottle moment when I had to cancel that event and explain why we couldn't distribute them.

i guess you never heard of a 'bath tub'' where you sit down and water gets up in your choochie there for you wont stink. douche is bad unless your just using plain water which is better.

Water going up your vagina? That sounds rather like...
Douching!

Quotedouche is bad unless your just using plain water which is better.

That's exactly what is recommended to douche with to wash out skin slough and lube: water.
Sometimes a few drops of betadine is useful if you have a bleed (in order to prevent infection).

I douche nightly with a saline solution--1 tsp salt per 4 liters(1 gal) of water.  I don't buy the idea that our vaginas are self cleaning.  The fluid which cleans a gg's vagina is produced by the uterus and we don't produce any kind of fluid which is responsible for cleaning ours.

What people don't realise is that the trans vagina is a wound, and like any wound, requires cleaning and care until it heals. No other surgical wound on the body is self-cleaning, so why the hell this one should be different is totally baffling.
SRS does not magically create a cis vagina.

So true--I couldn't have said it better.

interesting reading concerning self-lubrication, etc. The best thing to do of course is follow your own doctor's instructions as far as keeping clean.

I tried condoms early on for dilating and they caused internal bleeding, maybe because of an allergic reaction, I don't know.  For lubrication now I use this stuff from New Zealand made of kiwi fruit and just love it.
