I think I've found Tammy Fay Bakker's replacement, right down to the putting on makeup with a fire hose.

Tammy Faye Messner is totally different. She appeared on the RuPaul show and talked about how important it is to be yourself if you are LGBT and that LGBT people have the right to be who they are. She's one of the few televangelists that I have respect for for this reason.

She only did that late in life, when faced with cancer, dying and the total rejection of the community that she once supported and represented - it was not a firm conviction as much as it was a form of repentance.

Annnnd that is one of the reasons why I dislike religion.
