I have been clean from heroin for over 14 years now, which is a great achievement (I must say!).
I never did or tried any other drug before it, and got addicted when I was 16, it lasted 3 and a half
years or so, until the day that my partner committed suicide by shooting herself with a shotgun. Finding
her body turned my life around I think, I've not touched a drug since that day.
Some might say it's a bit of a drastic measure, but her death kind of saved my life really, and I'm grateful to her for
that, she would have wanted me to be clean.
