Thinking about goals and focuses as an androgyne, what interests you?

I am taking this survey for information purposes , and to start posts on whatever is most popular, based off this survey.

You may check as many of the boxes that you want, and can come back and change any of the boxes you already checked.

You may add comments explaining your answers or add additional comments.

hi, good question.  with this androgyne i like the a/techniques and then the styles. i also enjoy having  "real" breasts but i do wear "androgynist"  loose, tops. (physiologically, i am considered to be a member of the male gender)   (I know better)   I didn't see anything posted here but mostly I enjoy and thankfully, am starting to accept and feel blessed of being in touch with both genders.   So, i vote for androgyne spirituality,,   and being proud of who i am.. thanx

Nice poll. I'd be interested to see what the numbers look like when we get some more people voting.

*sniff* Out of three voters so far I'm the only one interested in fingernails? They're better for scratching an itch than the stubby things I normally have. And they drum so nicely, a soothing tickety tickety tickety sound. Yeah I know, I'm easily amused.

Hi bothofus. Welcome to Susan's. We're glad to have you here.

awww casey!

We can still post about fingernails, and draw from the posts around the message boards in the other forums also.

I know Laurie and I have long fingernails. And maybe a few more I dont know about.

Fingernails?  Did someone say fingernails?  I thought I heard my name...LOL

When I took the poll, seems like we are all so superficial...the 3 highest areas were Getting Rid of Body Hair, and Clothing (both categories)...still, it's hard to feel feminine when you have hair growing everywhere and the world is not ready for me to show up without clothes, so I guess that's about right.

My problem is how to keep my dang nails from breaking off!  Here I sit, 8 nails longer than your normal male and the middle finger on each hand has nada.  (And no, I didn't break the nail flipping people off...wish that had been the case, I could learn to behave better).  Guess I should eat better or something...I know Wonder bread builds strong bodies 8 ways (or is it 12?), but what builds strong nails?  I don't subscribe to the gelatin thing...think it is an old wives tale...any other ideas?

Ken/Kendra, Great topic (as usual)...can't wait to see how the voting turns out once the poll has been up for a bit.

Gotta run...tomorrow is "work from home day" which translates to "Whoop out the bright red nail polish"...now just to decide...Maybelline Rainyday Red or Revlon Cherries in the Snow...decisions, decisions.  I did check out the Opi polish at the mall this weekend, but they didn't have No I'm Not A Waitress...been dying to try that one

Hugs Y'all........Laurie
Ya put your right foot in.  You put your right foot out.  You put your right foot in and you shake it all about.  You do the Andro-gyney and you turn yourself around.  That's what it's all about.

Throwing this youtube clip in just for Casey for the tickety tickety visual.

LOL I love the video. I'll have to see if I can get that to play on my second computer at work and loop it.

Laurie, I don't know how to keep them from breaking either. They always chip in just the wrong place so I have to cut my nails. Grrr. And is it just me or do you get so used to long nails that you start using the pads of your fingers instead of the tips, just out of habit?

This is OT but what do you call those drumming rythyms that soldiers do? You know: bada dum, bada dum, bada dum dum dum. (The badas are where they do those quick rolls.) I want to call them cadences but I'm not sure that's right. But that's what I do with my nails. Must be the music geek in me.

I voted for Body hair shaping, I love the Brazilian bikini hair line, Tattoo's I have a few and would like more, body piercing, again I have a few and would like more, (perm makeup) which would include shaving my eyebrows and replacing them with small pink acrylic hoops, so my punk stuff still shows :)

I haven't voted yet, but had to chime in on nails discussion. Long on the right hand, short on the left... you can probably guess that I play guitar :)

Are you sure that's not just an excuse?  Could it be the right half of your body is more feminine and the left half more masculine???

I can see it now...somebody responding to the shaving question and they answer "I only have to shave the left half of my body as it is the male half"...LOL

And Casey...yes, they are called cadences...at least that is what we called them in Band harumphft years ago...sorry, something caught in my throat when I started thinking how long ago that was.

LOL, could be, you never know.  ;) But I play fingerstyle guitar which does require long nails on the picking hand. Long nails on the fretting hand get in the way and make one's playing sloppier. And regardless of which gender zythyra might be at any given moment, ze doesn't want to play sloppy  ;D

What I will do is Sat, Sun, Mon I get off from work. So these days I will start collecting and posting basic data for the first few topics from the popular poll or requested topics.

I will 1) First check the Wiki for info that they have painstakingly recorded since the site's inception.
       2) Then I will search for a) Relevant b) Reliable c) Prioritized information from posts to support, supplement, or create anew additional information to the first data.
       3) Carefully weight if additional information is needed.
       4) Try what I have current out, and adjust accordingly.
Ok posted the first version of the most popular voted topic

Body Hair at topic https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,9357.0.html. Imbedded the link into the poll even so that future people coming here can see it.

Hey folks!

Surprise, I'm still around...  ;)

I chose body hair, clothes styles, chest/breasts (getting some), and voice...

Those are for me some of the most tricky and significant areas that divide the two mes....

You can still vote even one's finished. Part of the vote is just to show what things are important to androgynes at this site. I try to make the guides in order of importance, though limits of my knowledge may cause me to postpone making a guide till I myself learn more about the topics. I have linked the guides finished to the results page. All of the information you can still comment on, offer suggestions, or make recommendations.

Have fun. Send me feedback.

Hair is one aspect that seems to help for me in presenting a more feminine appearance.

Hair on head: I have a heck of a time getting a good haircut. They keep wanting to feminize me, despite specific instructions. I tried cutting it myself (but worried that the hair around the back was uneven-- my partner isn't good at giving feedback like that). I guess I'll have to go to a men's barbershop...

Scent: Personal necessity...

Weight: Constantly trying to minimize my belly bulge.

Well, I wasn't a member here when you first did this, so I voted.  I can't say anything about changes though. :)
