Sam-

Throwing this out there in the beginning: I know nothing about these, I haven't done research besides reading a little bit through their FAQs.

But a FTM I follow on Tumblr posted a link about breast reduction pills today, and I thought you guys might find it interesting to look into.

"Alexia is the #1 selling natural breast reduction product on the market today! It is a unique blend of high quality herbal ingredients. Alexia is the most affordable and effective non-surgical breast reduction treatment available to you without a prescription. If you are not happy with your over sized breasts, then discover the benefits of Alexia breast reduction pills today!"

I don't know if I'm allowed to post the link, but google it and it'll turn up right away.

wheat thins are delicious

Seems like a rip off to me.   I'd rather just save that money and get my surgery.

I don't see how that could possibly work.

Pretty much what everyone else has said. There would probably be little to no results using this.

I'd say it's in the same boat as breast enhancements pills and other things like that. If things like these drastically worked I think surgery would hit an all time low.

I can see how that might could possibly work if your breasts were mostly fat and not breast tissue but even then that would make it a weight loss drug and they are usually a scam. Another good idea instead of buying that would be to buy some weights to work out with.

My ex took one of those "magic pills" for weightloss and ended up really sick and dehydrated. So with anything like that if you consider it I'd suggest having your doctor take a look at what is actually in them.

I wonder if it was a diuretic then?

That was my first thought upon seeing/reading this: either a diuretic or some other weight-loss type drug. The thing is, both can be dangerous when not used properly, and in this case I'm inclined to put that in the category of "under the directions of a doctor/healthcare provider". I know of a guy who took weight loss aids obsessively and ended up in the emergency room and he said he learned that it was not an uncommon occurrence with these things -- I think his heart is permanently affected, too.

In this case, exercising properly and binding until top surgery is a much safer route than using pills on one's own.

A lot of people think that "herbal" is safer but it's not. They can be great when used properly and appropriately -- I use one or two myself when necessary, and am not at all opposed to using more if the need arose, but they can also be quite detrimental, even dangerous. Not to mention herbs are not regulated, which means buyer beware (i.e. educate yourself before you take anything undirected). Not to say FDA-approved drugs are necessarily safe (or safer, even), but herbs and herbal treatments typically face no testing, so who really knows what all of these combinations they're throwing together and marketing might really do.

This site talks about Gynexin, but it's the same ingredients.  It looks like it's all diuretics and some things that can help you lose weight a bit faster.

yeah, i figured there would be more downsides than benefits, but i figured it couldn't hurt to tell you guys about it anyhow.

Sorry if I came off sounding rude. Thank you for posting it and maybe someone will try it and it will work :) I just personally don't tend to trust stuff like that so I wanted to be sure if someone was interested in trying it that they would consider it and tell their doc just in case

I've been experimenting with more "natural" ways to alter the body for a long time.  One thing I noticed is that these types of methods have a few practical problems:

1)  Their effects are often overstated, and side effects are often understated.

2)  Herbs/substances/devices are often overpriced relative to the actual effects that they produce.

3)  Effects (particularly big ones such as alteration to breast size) take a long time before anything really significant happens.

-------------------------------------------

When you combine problems 1) 2) and 3) you can easily see why nonstandard methods are extremely risky.  Not only are you using yourself as a lab animal, but you don't even know going into the experiment whether those methods even work to begin with.  When you look at it financially, it is  a high risk long benefit scenario.  If it works, it can save you a lot of other problems, such as surgery.  If it doesn't work, you have used money and resources that could have been used for hormones/surgery.

Even though it took me almost nine years of research to find methods of altering the body which I find efficient enough to base a transition on, I consider that time well spent.  I didn't want to be dependent on hormones for the rest of my life, and I really really really really really don't like the idea of surgery.  But since most of these sorts of methods are poorly researched, you have to do your own research and often your own experiments with them.  You can't take anything at face value.  Then again, at least here in the USA, you can't take any sort of advertising at face value anyway.  It is just hype to get you to buy a product.

This is just a herbal weight loss stimulant. The concept being that as breast tissue is mainly fatty tissue it will disappear with this supplement...and it will to some extent as weight loss always affects breast size. As a replacement for surgery though...this will never work.
