gonna get a haircut this weekend. advice?

now please excuse the maleness of this photo, im letting my facial hair grow in so I can get a close shave on saturday.

but here is my hair now (I know awful)


and I was thinking since I have limited options with the front being so short that I would go for sometihng like this


now I just want to know if in your humble opinions that style would help be helpful in passing. its not too different than what I have now, more layering i guess. im afraid to even it out cause I don't want it so short. but I am also afraid of it doing nothing in the looking like a female department, comments?

Hmm..idk if you can carry that hairstyle and pass honestly. I mean I do LOVE it and wanted my bestie to get it, loved Rihannas hair like that too. (well kinda like that lol) but of course being GGs with perfectly feminine faces they don't need to worry about passing. So idk  =/

I would let it grow, and I know how you feel, I have tried to grow my hair out, and it is always so awkward because the back gets too long, but the sides aren't long enough, and it just looks awkward.

go on google, and look up "how to grow out a pixie cut" it shoud have some info, maybe you could go to a salon tomorrow and tell them that you want to grow it out, and they can cut it so that when it does grow more, it will grow into a flattering style.

maybe you could get the sides cut to a pixie cut point, and put the back into a pony tail? kinda like in the pic

or you could take the sides near your ears and push them back with a headband, that way it will look like your hair is all the same length in the back and sides with short bangs on top

hmm I guess if I jsut get some layers on top of what I have and let it keep growing it should be ok, probably not passable at all but I dont see much else i can do, blagh maybe the hairstylist will have some ideas.

I am also nervous about explaining why I want a feminine haircut :p

Don't worry too much about explaining it. I was very nervous the first time I did it and my hairstylist actually got excited about it. If you go to the same stylist always you could always call and explain it over the phone if you're nervous about it.

I'm not sure that cut would suit your face hun. Id say the best bet is to just talk to your stylist.

That's what i did, and though i'm still growing it out it at least has some style and shape. it also helped with my confidence no end.
