It's a bit extreme to call it dead. There is a new post every few minutes and there are dozens of users online at a time; along with a hundred or more guests. This, of course, varies each day and with the time of the day.

Sure, it may seem a bit slow, but it's probably just that the posts don't interest you as much; or the conversations are about something other than what you would prefer.

This is actually an extremely active forum.

It has been slower than usual for the past couple of days, but it's far from dead. Just look at the Online Now list. :)

Sometimes when life is a fight - we just have to fight back and say screw you - I want to live.

Sometimes we just need to believe.

If you see the glass is half-empty, then add something to it.  Contribute.
It's easier to change your sex and gender in Iran, than it is in the United States.  Way easier.

Please read my novel, Dragonfly and the Pack of Three, available on Amazon - and encourage your local library to buy it too! We need realistic portrayals of trans people in literature, for all our sakes

I'm fairly new to Susans (couple months) and I just search the old posts before asking a question that has already been addressed. Perhaps that is the difference you are seeing.

I wouldn't call the site dead... Although I would call it rather boring lately  :-\

This site is not dead, because if it was, you would not be able to reach it using the internet.  If your glass is half full then top it up.

Kind regards

one of my girls, the younger (teen), wants to pierce  her lip because she a "scene" girl. I have seen a couple of teen wit their lip pierced and I notice that they seem to be playing with their tongue constantly, kinds of makes and ugly sound and it s very distracting.

I do not find them feminine, cute, or sexy; what do you think?

Personally i find them feminine, sexy and cute, but then I'm extremely bias when it comes to lip piercings.

My posting was directed to Melissa since she has a quote about piercings. .................
LOL I read that and thought, "The only hole I plan to add to my body will be done by a surgeon!

anyway, I don't think the site is dead, merely a bit relaxed right now, which considering the utter chaos that has reigned the past couple of days is quite a relief.

I can't agree at all. This site is as vibrant and engaging as it has always been.

Ghost site?  Hardly.

And this is just right now.  I've seen bigger numbers.  Perhaps, people aren't discussing topics.  You know you're more than welcome to start new threads.  You may also comment in the News Forum if you wish.  :)

I would say, "it has been vibrant and engaging over the last couple of months".

I think it may seem that way as 2010 has been a big year for Susan's as many of us have had our GRS and have taken a back seat for a while. I took time out and some have needed to leave completely for their own needs. I left for several months but decided to come back and help where I can. Its not dead but I have found it a little different because of people who like me are now post op and so have different concerns and needs.

BTW, I still consider this the best site and resource there is on the net and found it invaluable when I was going through transition. I have different needs and concerns now from then which is obvious as post op girls are no longer in transition but have arrived so to speak, lol

Im here, and I used to hang out around Susan's about a decade ago but then a whole lot of life happened and now I'm back.  But I've been mostly lurking / reading looking for a place where maybe I have something to ask or contribute.  So far I haven't found many instances where I feel completely comfortable with writing anything just yet mostly because someone has already posted what i would have said but also because I'm new, in a way.

So I'm here and I'm sure I'll be causing trouble soon enough.

Peace, love and kittens :-)
