I'd like to preface this post with the following: 50 degrees is not cold.

And you will lose weight from only eating 800 calories per day however not as quickly as doing what's called calorie rotation.  You want to maintain a calorie deficit during the week and on the weekend feed your body.  On calorie deficit days you'd want to be in the realm of 1500 to 1800.  Splurge days eat up to 2500.  This will trick your body into thinking it's being well fed and it won't slow down your metabolism.  You can actually do this eating nothing but McDonald's provided you cut out the starch and sugar.  If you think about it, that makes sense as the human body evolved to eat animal proteins and fats (fruits and veggies too but that's beside the point).  Only birds are supposed to eat grains, we're really not.

Don't worry that you broke your diet for a day it actually probably helped more than harmed you.

When my ex was losing weight through one of those pay place, she was eat 6 small meals a day.  Fruits and veggies mostly.  She would eat a regular meal at night.  A Small one, but healthy.

now that they talk about it, its true that another good tip is to eat many time a day, but smaller ammount, thats what i alway did, eating 6-10 time a day, okay... that was uber fat ->-bleeped-<-, and i wasnt on hormone, but yet, you get the point

Dont feel bad you went off one day on the diet it all happens to the best of us. But to reiterate what everyone said smaller meals through out the day and a healthy meal in the evening. I remember the first time I fell off my diet. Totally killed a pizza that day, but it was so so good. So I allow my self a couple days a month to go nuts ( well with moderation of course ;) with food I truly avoid during the rest of the month ands it been working now for the past 6 months. Of course, with this being said what works for me may not work for others.
