Change is the only constant in the universe, if you're not changing, your not growing.  Or as bob says: He not busy being born is busy dying.

So go where your heart leads you, experiment, trial and error, it's like buying clothes, you just have to try a bunch on to find a few that really fit right.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Kitty.

There is a lot of talk about 'being yourself', as if this is some sort of holly grail, an objective that each of us has some right to achieve, regardless of those around us.

That's crock.

The reality is, each of us, even social hermits like me, are part of a wider organism, the community. We each do and must, adapt our behaviour, mannerisms and attitudes to suit those around us.

That's normal.

Within that construct, we seek to live our own lives, according to our needs, wishes and ambitions.

But it takes time to find yourself. It takes time to learn your own place in the world and to understand how others react to you. That process is called maturity. It generally takes about 90 years.
