Philadelphia: Detectives in the US are hunting a transgender 'doctor' suspected of fatally botching an operation to enlarge the buttocks of an aspiring British dancer.

The unlicensed medical practitioner is believed to have carried out the illegal procedure on Claudia Aderotimi in a hotel room after they met on the internet.

Aged in her 30s, the unnamed woman apparently endured a similar procedure as part of a sex change operation.

I think the person who did it should be caught and should answer for their crimes, although I'm puzzled as to why the suspect's ->-bleeped-<- is relevant. Suppose it might help narrow the suspects down? Who knows?

That said, the British lady gets little sympathy from me if an accompanying article I saw earlier is correct. It claimed she had decided to not have surgery again, until she did, and died as a consequence. Here it is. I dunno. She should have done more research into the procedure and its legality, and without sounding too horrible, I think it's a risk she took of her own free will, and as such I won't feel too much sympathy for her.

The general attitude toward this young woman here in the UK seems to be that she was a silly, misguided idiot, who risked her life to imitate her pop idols.

That said, the inclusion of a so called transgender Doctor may be a piece of sensationalism.

Strangely, in the Moir piece, she doesn't mention transgender, rather ranting about the relentless misogyny, casual degradations and lack of respect for women in hip hop.

20 year old british model and actress Claudia Seye Aderotimi died Tuesday,  hours after being injected with what investigators speculate was industrial grade silicone (the kind you get at home depot to grout your bathroom tiles with) in the buttocks by a fake doctor performing illegal plastic surgery in a Philadelphia hotel room. The young victim died of apparent silicone embolism to the lungs.
