Some compliments make a drab day wonderful.

Roxy and I have been a bit down about her family lately, yet today something very nice happened that cheered us both.

We were in the Goodwill today and Roxy was standing at the register next to me as I checked out. She started to leave and go look at something, when the lady behind me leans forward and says loudly,"She is so beautiful! She should be a model!!"

I responded confidently and pleased, "Yes, she is very beautiful."

The lady went on, " I have seen her at Walmart before, and I wanted to tell her. Some ladies are just so beautiful! She should get a port folio. I mean just go to the park dressed as she is. You can get really creative. She just should get started."

Roxy was smiling bashfully. I told the lady that was very nice of her. As we left Roxy thanked her and we walked out smiling.

This nice lady had no idea, just how much she really made our day.

Yes, very cool! And that nice lady was absolutely correct. You find the nicest bargains and the nicest people at Goodwill.

Hi Patty

The fact is, that the lady has a neutral view for Roxy, she doesn't know her past, she only sees a pretty lady.
And that's the way Roxy should be seen.
I think it's really awesome when people speak in that way about her.
The troubles about the family is nasty, they are covering theirselves with religious things, just to prove they are right.
But, that's the wrong way because religion was love the other not to reject the other.
I'll hope they will reconsider their point of view in time and that they will see Roxy in the way she is, a friendly, pretty lady.
Thankfully she has a wonderfull, supporting partner.
