Yeah, and at first I was worried that she wasn't okay with it.  She did enjoy getting me to dress up when I was a kid, and for a while after I came out, it seemed like she would look for any possible reason to refer to me as her daughter.  I worried that she really preferred having a girl and that after coming out she would never love me in quite the same way... But I guess she just had to get used to the change.
God, this is awesome.  I feel so loved and accepted lately, both by family and friends.

It is a wonderful moment for you that will stay with you. :)
I am so happy for you and thank you for sharing.
We win our acceptance one person at a time and wining our parents can be one of the bigest chalenges any of us will face.

So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Congrats! My mom said that to me once, but it never really went much farther in understanding my trans-ness. Hope it goes better for you!

That's awesome.

I know my parents have always wanted a son because they've told us from the time we were little they were trying for a boy with each of us.  I'm just not sure she wants ME to be her son...
In between the lines there's a lot of obscurity.
I'm not inclined to resign to maturity.
If it's alright, then you're all wrong.
Why bounce around to the same damn song?

Really nice to hear that your mother forget she already had a son, so she could tell you that.  I bet it must have made you feel great! But that is a given, assuming you burst into joyous flames.
