Producers Ruth and Stephen Hendel (Fela!, American Idiot, The Exonerated) present the rock performance piece ALEX DAVIS: MAN OF THE YEAR at the Knitting Factory Brooklyn on Saturday, February 19 at 8:00pm and Sunday, February 20 at 2:00pm. Both performances benefit the Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund.

A 90-minute rock memoir, ALEX DAVIS: MAN OF THE YEAR incorporates original songs written and performed by musician Alex Davis, accompanied by a live, six-person band, with video and spoken narrative.  The show is a moving and humor-filled drama about Alex's life as a transgender man and the only child of iconic actor Brad Davis. The production is directed by Thomas Caruso (Zombie, The Chalks, Bay Street; Resident Director, Mamma Mia!).  Band members include Becky Gebhardt (bass), Caitlin Ary (vocals), Josh Brodis (keyboard), Mir "Doc" Yarfitz (cello), Patty Carr (vocals) and Rob "Byrd" Humphreys (drums).
