Having trouble getting my Estrogen. Should I worry?

I've been trying to get ahold of my Doctor through the clinic I go to because I've been trying to get a refill for it and the Pharmacy can't get the okay. It's been about 2 1/2 weeks or so. I don't want to be a pain with them, but I don't want to let it affect my journey. I was able to get my Spiro though. My Boobs still hurt, so I guess things are going accordingly. Still, I worry a little.

when was the last time labs were ordered? (that's the only plausible reason i can think of as to why the doctor is denying refill)

yes stephanie You should worry a LOT! and moreover you should make seeing your doctor and getting the refill your number one two three and four priorities.

Once you start on anti-androgens YOU NEED to continue taking estrogen at least at a basic maintenance doseage or you can fairly rapidly develop some very serious and non reversible health problems.

This is NOT repeat NOT something you can just put off for a few weeks while you faff about. If you need a refill you need it STAT! - and if the doctor wont give it to you without your going in then YOU MUST go in asap!

You MUST establish CLEAR ground rules with your doctor about this. How often you will see him and when will give you refill authorisations without a visit.

It also possible that the pharamacy is just being difficult. Some places are funny about transgender meds and invent obstacles but the only way you will establish that is to talk to the doctor and find out.

Make an appointment to see him or her today!

I've been calling the docs office and I hope to get an answer today. I was still able to get the SPIRO but I'm waiting for the E for now. I'm going to keep calling everyday until they let me know what is going on.

Just an update:

On my recent visit to the Doctor, I was able to vent about my E problem. It turns out that there seemed to be some sort of lack of communication between the pharmacy and the Docs office.
My Doc was NOT happy about this...at ALL.  There was concern.  In regards to the prescription I HAD tried to get it a week or two before but they STILL needed the okay from the Doc. So the delay wasn't on my end...obviously.  Either way, I'm sure it won't happen again.  PLUS, the Doc got me a few extra patches just in case.  I love my Doc and her assistant. They are great people! I'm blessed to have them on my team!
