Olujimi rushing ZX highlights the difference between gender and gender identity

Kwame Olujimi, a junior who identifies as an androgynous entity, was not extended a bid from Zeta Chi sorority because Olujimi "wasn't the right fit," according to Sarah McGhee, senior and president of Zeta Chi.

"(Rushees) have to fit personality-wise with the club," McGhee said. "We got to know Kwame, and we really like Kwame, but in the end, it was just not the right fit. When we decided to rush Kwame, we made it clear that Kwame was going to be like any other rushee, and whether he was to get a bid was going to be determined like any other person."
