My partner is Walter, who is a member of this forum, and as we being dating for eight months now, I thought it would be a good idea to join.
I have to admit that he is the most amazing thing that has happened in my life; I never thought I would meet someone like him, certainly not anyone who has lit up my life like he has. So please excuse me if an occasional post gets all ...mushy ...
One of the things I personally find hard to deal with is the prejudice that is out there. As a well known member of the asexual community ( particularly within a certain forum), I have found a great deal of acceptance within that community; yet outside of that I have personally encountered ... well, lets just say it has been unpleasant. And as for the argument I had with my mum about our relationship that lasted until 2am ...
So one of the reasons for joining is to talk to other SOs, particularly other partners of FtMs, and also to gain a better insight into what he is going through.
Anyway, so much for my introductory post. I am glad Walter found this place, and I look forward to talking more to the various peeps here in the future.
