Take a look at this short video of French women having their heads shaved for being alleged collaborators after the war.    Afterwards, shorn of hair they don't look half as womanly as before.

they look more androgynous with their heads shaved. hair is one of those highly cherished marks of a woman's beauty, so it makes sense that it would be important in passing. if i had my head shaved, i would look like a baby pretty much. there's women with short hair that look really good with it. emma watson is an example. she doesn't have her head shaved, but it's very short. it depends on who you are, but usually a woman with a shaved head is labeled as a lesbian when she could've had it shaved for many different reasons out of her control.

anyway, i think looking like a woman was the least of the concerns of the women who went through this since they were publically humiliated and beaten to death afterward.

Poor choice of videos. I have to question how you lost your humanity?

Are you going to post some vids of emaciated prisoners in Auschwitz death camp next? Or images of emaciated women in famine stricken countries?  ::)

These were women accused of collaborating with fascists, not the other way around. If they were caught collaborating with the french resistance, the Germans would not have been so lenient.

I didn't find any evidence of them being beaten to death, I can't say one way or another, but a quick research on the topic mentioned only the shavings, followed by the French using proper court systems to try the individuals involved.
