So, many of you know that my wife is struggling with my gender identity. We have started counseling and it has been going really well. This past week she admitted in counseling if she could wave a magic wand she would make it all go away. The counselor said that wasn't realistic and talked about joining the journey. She seemed to take it well.
Then on Sat. we were out shopping and previously I had been complaining that the jeans I own were girl jeans and b/c of it I couldn't carry my wallet in my pocket without it hurting or put my hands in my pockets in the front. That I hated it despite them being very very comfy. So, she took me to the guys section and started handing me different jeans to wear ... and after like a bizzion pairs we tried on we found some that look good on me -- not too baggy in the rear b/c I have no ass & not too baggy in the front. She bought me 2 pairs.
Then in the car ride she started talking about how she wanted to talk to someone like a good friend about things -- she was tired of it feeling like it was a big secret and she wanted to vent some stuff w/o it hurting my feelings. So, she asked which of our friends I was comfortable letting her talk to ... wow I was floored.
Finally on Sunday we went to lunch with friends and we were talking about medical procedures that had to be done (mind you my wife is a nurse and the topic often comes up - one of the friends joked that I had fooled them all b/c I turn 40 this year and hope to have surgery before I do hence I wont have the mamagram. My wife laughed out loud about it. She is coming around
