...and thought it was about time that I posted something somewhere.
My name is Alex, I'm a pre-everything FtM who has a major ulterior motive for deciding to stop lurking now.
Last night was awesome and I want to tell someone about it. The only person I'm out to that I would talk to about stuff like this I won't see for another week or two and I'm going to go crazy if I don't say something to someone! (Which is odd because I'm not normally very social at all.)
Anyway, I'm out to almost everyone in my immediate family, that is, I'm out to my mom and my two sisters but not my dad. I was looking at therapists nearby and, because we live in a small town, there aren't any in our city. I was trying to figure out where some cities with therapists were in relation to us and couldn't as my grasp of local/regional geography is horrid. So, I went downstairs and gave my mom a list of cities asking which one was closest.
Unfortunately, the closest city is also the second largest. This is unfortunate because I don't drive and my mom is afraid of highways and hates driving in larger cities. She has actually been to that particular city several times to take my nephews and niece to the college hospital there.
Then she insisted that I tell her why I was asking, so I did (in my usual manner i.e. staring the other way and fiddling with something while talking really fast) and she said that, while she didn't like driving there, she'd do it if she had to and if I really wanted to go.
;D
It's not really that big of a deal and it's not really surprising as my mom IS A SAINT. Seriously, she's by far the nicest person I have ever met and she is so supportive that when I came out to her the first thing she said was, "What can I do to make you feel better?" But said nicely, not the slightly condescending way I can imagine it might sound if you read it wrong.
And I'm really happy and slightly hyper right now. I'm getting new boots tomorrow, a haircut soon, might be starting therapy soon, and my mom gave me permission (that I don't actually legally need being 19, as I am but I ask for anyway because I love her and live with her) to get my conchs punched.
Anyway, yeah.
So, hello everyone, everything is really good here. Hope it's ten times better wherever you are.

:) Sounds great man.  I'm glad you have people behind you.  It may be a pain in the butt to get to a therapist, but it's definitely worth it.
Oh I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love

A blah blog
