I was wondering if anyone has had this experience as they started transitioning. I keep having these very realistic, vivid dreams (mind you, I'm also on medication that seems to make my dreams more vivid and creative), in which my hair has suddenly grown longer again, and it's very lustrious and pretty and makes Dream Me think, "Hey, I look really cute, I should just be a girl again!" And sometimes in my dreams I'm doing girly things I NEVER did, like go shopping with a bunch of girls, try on a bunch of girly jeans with rinestone and crap on the butt pockets and check out my ass and ask if it looks big.

D:

I HATE IT.

This has only been happening fairly recently, maybe, within the past month or two. I used to have cool dreams where I'm being chased by someone and have to find hiding places, or where I'm at a cool carnival getting lost in this huge maze or I'm in a forest at the cottage or driving a boat on the lake and I keep crashing.

Anyway. Now my dreams seem to be overly feminine and I don't like it :(

Is anyone else having similar dreams, where you act abnormally opposite to the gender you're trying to be?

I have the same (although different, i'm mtf) in my dreams my bear just keeps on growing back and there is no possible way I can shave it of, things like that. And I got these after I had to move to the big city to go to doctor in order to get my diagnose. And also I used to have nice dreams before but then I was in the forest, just being happy with the sunshine and the berries growing there, stuff like that. Being hunted down sounds quite awfull to me, but hei, everyone their own style I guess.

Hahah that's so funny man. I made a post about similar dreams.

I keep having dreams where my hair keeps growing longer, or I suddenly have earrings in or I'm not wearing a binder while I am surrounded by a bunch of people. But in mine I am freaking out and cutting my hair or taking out the earrings but they keep coming back. Last night I even had a dream where we were having a housewarming party and tons of people were there drinking and I went to use the bathroom but got my period really badly (even though I haven't had one in over a year) and was trying to figure out what to use. Then all these guys started banging on the door telling me to hurry up and every time I locked the door it would unlock itself and I was trying to keep it shut so that the guys couldn't get in and see me.

I think it's a normal thing for us because we became used to our old lives and even though it wasn't right we dream either that it comes back to haunt us or that we can't let it go.
The story is the same, I've just personalized the name.

Yeah, that makes sense. I wasn't going to interpret my dreams and assume it means I'm not really trans. I NEVER interpret my dreams. It's just daydreaming with fewer controls. I also understand that we dream about the familiar - someone who lives in Canada isn't going to dream about living in a village in Afica if they've never even been over there. So it does total sense to have dreams about me as a female.

It's just REALLY annoying and a little emasculating the next morning.

And Kaisa - I guess dreams about being chased doesn't sound enjoyable, but for some reason I really like the adreniline rush I get from the dreams even when I remember them the afternoon afterwards. It just feels like a cool adventure I can't have in real life :)
