Transsexual NHS breast operation refusal upheld

I personally agree with this decision, I think we should be subject to the same health options that a normal woman would be. And with the NHs you can only get Breast augmentation under 3 circumstances.

1: Breast reconstruction following cancer therapy.
2: Class 3 or worse Tuberous breast deformity
3: Polands syndrome induced breast deformity.

Simply begin flat chested isn't justification... I myself am flat chested as anything if I want to save up money and get a BA I think that's anyone's prerogative but some women are flat chested and that in itself isn't grounds for breast augmentation on the NHS.

I also completly agree with the decision. It's sad that this person was encouraged to take the matter so far.

i read this while dilating earlier and i also have to agree with you both.

if you say to one group you can have it you have to say yes to everyone and that just takes up valuable money that should or may go elsewhere.

NHS only has so much to spend it seems unfair at times but you can also understand their stance too

I'm not sure where I stand on this. For breast augmentation I agree, but not so much for FFS. I think without FFS, many of us simply would not pass, and there's no point in going so far only to come short I suppose.

The issue isn't plastic surgery, it's this individual who was dissatisfied with her breasts and wanted them enlarged.

I'm pretty sure each case will be handled individually. This isn't some overall precident.
