So, I started hormones (spiro and estrogen) about 20 hours ago and wasn't expecting much for at least a week or two. Other than what I am guessing is a psychosomatic response (feeling calmer, most likely from getting rid of the stress leading up to things) and some light aches around my body (again, probably from stress).

Well, today I noticed one of my nipples is beginning to develop a little more mass behind it. They have always been very flat, but now it seems to have a slight cone (along with a bit of light dull sporadic aches in the chest).

I'm just surprised effects are showing after as little as 20 hours. Either that, or I am completely losing my mind.. .but, I am 100 percent sure it wasn't like this before :|

Anyone else notice things so quickly?

My experience has been quite the opposite! A week in and no noticeable changes.  :(

I think that whatever you felt was purely psychological. It happens to all of us, mind you.... I remember the day after I took those first, little blue pills and looking at my chest, hoping that I'd feel something.
Physiologically, it generally takes a few weeks to feel or see any effects from HRT. Changes WILL happen, girl... but it's biologically impossible for one to experience breast growth from one dose of E.

That's what I thought too. That it takes at LEAST several days for any hormone level changes to even happen (which is why missing a dose isn't the end of the world), but there are definitely things going on. My mind could be making the effects manifest though.

I'm not really sure it is breast growth. Just a bit puffier and the center hard off and on (the center becoming a little lighter)... normally my nips are the most unresponsive things in the world :|

How familiar! What you are noticing is psychological but don't be slightly discouraged. Your brain is preparing you for what's to come.

I think the psychological sensations are due to the fact that your brain is reprogramming your body to fix itself!

Well, it has been a few more days... and the effects I first noticed are moving forward (so, I'm pretty sure it isn't in my head... though, if it is, I'll take it hehe). I know my body really well (I'm nekkid a lot and have mirrors all over :D) so I guess I notice small things.

Hmm, maybe it was because the doctor put me on full anti-androgens and estrogen right away?
