Hi Natalie and welcome to Susan's.

I feel that you look more fem in the first picture but there are many who often disagree with me. It has to do with lips mostly. They both have good and bad points. It seems that the more important factor is passing is how you carry yourself. Pictures don't show that.

Family can be hard. Often they will come around in time even though there are those who don't. Keep gaining supportive friends and it will be ok.

Hi Natalie.

Agree with Kat in that you look prtty good anyway.

But a bit alarmed with your weight loss in the second photo.

I'm so sorry hon, but it is a good rule to live by. I really don't understand how your family can react that way when you actually have a physical diagnosis and doctors backing that up. However, friends are the family you choose. I would also like to add that more than just the clothes look good in that last set of photos.
and i know that i'm never alone
and i know that my heart is my home
Every missing piece of me
I can find in a melody

Looking good there Sarah.

As melody says, a good rule and the right one as well.

Congratulations on finding the real you-the woman at your core.

You're family is blinded by ignorance and religion. The fact that you are also IS just shows their complete detachment from reality. While they are being abusive, stay away from them. No one deserves that. In time, they may come to realize how stupid they were. Family, to me, means unconditional love. Isn't that what their religion calls upon them to do?

What I didn't yet see in your pictures is a smile. I understand that it may be very difficult at this point. However, in time, you will let more and more or your heart and beauty show through your smile.

You'll discover as you go along, what is necessary for transition. One important item to do as soon as you can afford it, is electrolysis. I didn't necessarily see a beard shadow in the photos, but it is a definite 'tell' when people see it.

Also important to keep some weight on your body. A lot of new women think that dropping weight will help their passability. The opposite is often true, as gg's have an extra fat layer on their face and body.

Good luck~

Damn!  I want that top, girl.  Not fond of the pursed lips.  The other pics in the car look better, IMHO.

I'm so sorry your family is reacting that way, especially when you have an actual medical diagnosis. But it's wonderful you're staying positive! It takes courage to face that rejection.

Also, you look adorable and you have a great sense of style. That top is gorgeous.
