What shoes to wear?

Just been "ordered" by the doc to stop wearing boy's clothes
got most of it down but buying shoes seems to be quite hard

am EU size 41 which isnt too hard of a size to get hold of, but the toes are realy tight. its just wide at the toes
looked at flat pumps to start with but thought its a bad idea since my skin (on  feet) still isnt that good yet

am 5'10 already standing out for being quite tall, even on a good day some cis people stare a bit
are wedges/heels a bad choice?

started HRT in oct last year, feet starting to get smaller but not that much of a diffrence, can i expect them to get even smaller?
anyone know a good place to find shoes that dosent press your toes together?

Just look for shoes that have rounded toes as opposed to those whose "toe box" comes to a point.  Remember, too, that you need to allow anywhere from 1/2 to 1 1/2 sizes larger in women's shoes than you normally wear in men's.  Women's shoes, unfortunately, are a lot like clothes in general - the sizing varies all over the map, unlike men's shoes.  I've been able to wear anything from a women's 9W to an 11M (US sizing).  Don't feel bad, as it takes a bit of experience to be able to look at a shoe and figure out if it will fit or not.  I can't tell you how many pairs of shoes that I ended up taking back to the store for a refund(before I started going in female mode where I could try them on there).

Ballerina flats! I like the shiny ones  Why would a doctor order you to wear more girl's clothes? That's sexist! I know two cis women who wear nothing but men's clothing and no one is carting them off to force T on them

it took forever taking lots back thoght trail and error. brought a EU 42 but that was a bit too big, 41 was just right but toes are a bit tight; but guess they were all pointed. never tried round toe ones before going to be the next pair i buy.

i was claiming to live full time before i started HRT but still worn boy's clothes upto just last month when the doctor commented on it. he thinks he cant call it "full time" since it was boy's clothes, though it seems more like a what a tomboy would wear. boy's clothes are so easy since *everything* just works so really am just lazy. i still wear jeans even now though. just that the last think i have to buy was the shoes

I agree that shoe sizes are all over the place, you have to try them on. I've never had a problem even in 'boy' mode trying shoes on. It's pretty obvious with polished toe nails that I want to try the shoes on for myself, why hide it. Sales people don't care , and other customers don't matter. The only comment I have had from a customer was, they look nice.

This is only for american sizes. A european 41 is the same size regardless of whether the shoe is a man's or a womans.

I find that the size differential only holds up when you go to buy shoes from very high end retailers (I don't think you're up for paying 2 to 3 hundred for a pair, are you?). Most places I go to just use men's sizing for women's shoes now too.

Yes! Sparkly, cute ballerina flats  I can understand why your doctor said that then, maybe you should just get some women's running shoes, you would probably be more comfortable in them.

just got a pair this afternoon! the round toe shoes fits really well.
never really looked at running shoes, always did what i can to skip P.E (gym) class
really want to get a pair of wedges later though, but what kind of shoes will make your feet look smaller?

Ummm... I'd say slingback sandals with a decent sized wedge.

whats with these companies making shoes in diffrent sizes, i say 42 on the safe side, but half the item there a bit too big and having to go 41.

Yep, it does With things like nylons, it's easier to get your feet into heels that you may think are too tight at first, but you have to be careful of tearing the nylons. If you wear the heels without anything they're harder to get on, but they do loosen up after a while.

Yeah, I like them because I don't like shoes that have a lot of cushioning (I actually go barefoot a lot). Do you mean platforms as in those that increase your height with a raised entire sole? Never ever tried them and I won't. Personal preference. If you mean heels, they're fun! They're like art for your feet .

Boots and jeans are a terrific combination, and the heel really tightens your ass . I'm keeping ballerina flats in the car to drive with and then change shoes when I get to the destination.. No wonder it takes woman ages to get out of the car I also have realised why women prefer their partner to drive, you don't have to keep changing your shoes.

Surprisingly enough, my fav. pair of shoes are a pair of ecco open toe sling back wedges that are a bit small for me... Or maybe I've just worn them enough to make them comfortable... I'm not sure

I only have three pair of woman's shoes but am looking at some sandals I'd like to have

It's never going to be just a pair of shoes it starts the process of what will go with these new shoes, or the process of buying something for alittle kick of excitement   It's always gonna end up alot more costly lol.  I'm imagining me this time next year, ahhhhhhh BLISS

GO to Evans either on line or their many shops. Their shoes are in wide sizes. You will find shoes that suit and fit properly there
