how long did it take for u to just b passable without trying on hrt?
I have brief moments of catching myself and thinking yeah pass I love it, I'll actually get a photo san beard shadow lol.

Passing does not involve chinese dresses, full makeup.  Long hair yes completely acceptable.  No-one is going to be full femme especially not make up all the time.  That is high maintence ->-bleeped-<- haha love the thought of doing it as I do :D

Every day passing is what should be aimed for, fail at that it's pointless.  Yes most of us love the full works but that is for going out not every day.

I'm not sure if this answer is useful or not. I don't care. I'm a woman, like every other woman in the street, we all look different. We all pass. Interestingly I was talking to my laser woman; the clinic was established for women. Mmm does that mean woman have unwanted hair, Ah of course they do, hence waxing, laser, electrolysis. Do women have concerns of how they look? Of course not, hence eyebrow salons, manicure and pedicure places. Do woman have issues with looks? of course not, women never buy make up or get themselves make overs. Do woman like nice clothes? Of course not. That's why the shops are empty, also why the guys section in shops are always bigger than the women's. Stop worrying about passing. No other woman does, or maybe we all do!!

Don't know, don't care much any more either.  Most times I'll be mistaken for a member of "Dykes on Bikes" anyway. ;)

You're absolutely right we all do pass every single one of us, me I'm just reacting to a lack of confidence in applying makeup, in my looks, in my muscular frame.  My reaction is to take away all the things I love, deny them because I feel I should pass with minimal effort, what kind of dip->-bleeped-<- am I haha.  I want glamorous, I want it every single day.

Shoe shops, clothes shops, hair salon everything are total and utter heaven, I don't think I'll be able to stop once I start :D

I don't think there's a right or wrong answer, in fact there is no right or wrong answer we must go with what makes us happy individually and respect others completely, the second is paramount :)

If you are worrying about whether you pass, you're thinking about things the wrong way.

I don't pass, ...no really I don't, because I don't need to. I am female, a young woman and I don't need to prove myself to anyone. "passing" puts me in mind of completing some kind of woman test succesfully...like you get marks for it or something. It also has connotations of trying to pass yourself off as something you're not...if you're female ypu don't need to try and pass yourself off as female because you already are.

just been to the bank today, tried to close a adcount that i dont use anymore
it was still in the old name since i didnt even remember i had that adcount
so i dug up some old clothes to dress up as a boy in case they asked question
stuffed my hair into a hat, held my chin up high to show off that adams apple.

as i walked in still got greeted by "what can we do for you madam?"
rather amuseing to fail to "pass" (pretend?) to be a boy anymore
they wouldn't belive its my account, was asked for ID...that was a bit of a problum
had to go home again to get the deed poll and the doctor's letter, such a hassle

looking like too much of a tomboy now, even though its only 6 months of HRT; but before that people wasnt sure if i was a boy or girl to start with. so it works both ways really.
i guess i should have brought one of them stick on moustaches ;D

is it okay to ask a FTM how to "pass" as a boy? i was never very good it

I'm also called madam some times even if I don't present myself as a girl and wear boys clothes,  I have no HRT yet
