I have an appointment on the 12th of April (YUSSSS) with an endocrinologist my therapist recommended and I don't really know what to expect. Talking to the other (trans)guys it seems pretty informal, but they've been taking T for like two years and it's probably gonna be another month at least for me. The doc wanted to talk to my therapist before she was even willing to talk with me. I'm pretty nervous. And the doctor's a GIRL... :-X That shouldn't be much of an issue but I hate girls knowing that I have...female plumbing. Not sure why.

But back to my point:

What did you and the doc talk about the first time? If you had to do bloodwork, how long did it take? If you ordered T online with your new prescription online, how did THAT go? Really I'm curious about any experience.

I've written about this before on here actually. My first time went something like this. I walked in, he was really nice. Asked me to tell him the situation, and what was said during previous appointments with my therapist. He didn't really ask me 'why' I'm trans which I'm so thankful, or how I knew, but he did ask for some back history and who I was out to. I did most of the talking. We talked about the different methods of taking hormones and the outcome of such. He took my blood pressure and ordered some blood tests which I could do then since the office was in a hospital. I however am not sure how long it took for them to get the blood work back since i didn't see him for three months after that, since I was supposed to see a therapist in the middle of it, or rather a psychologist. It was all really basic, he mostly just asked if there was anything else I'd like to add other than that.

I agree on the issue with female doctors, I am always better with male doctors! Like I honestly have preferred when male doctors have touched my chest to female doctors just seeing me in a hospital gown.
