My name is Chelsea. I'm 18 years old if that's relevant... I kind of feel funny posting here so quickly, because I just sort of "came out" for the first time to one of my friends, and his response was this link. Ha, I love him. So I read through some of these threads, and this literally flew right over my head... someone in the chats had to point it out to me haha. But, a little about myself? I came out as bisexual like 2 years ago... and lately I realized that there is more to it then that. I've been confused about my gender since like middle school (so I now have came to terms with). And I am comfortable as a female, but I also know that this girl in my brain is rooming next door to a guy. Genetically and mentally female, but somehow also mentally male... I am sorry if that's phrased funny but I am honestly not sure what I am. But reading through here has already made me feel like I'm in the right place, and it's the first time I've felt like I could relate to somone in a long time.  Thanks.

Is that your preferred name or do you go by something more gender neutral?  Sounds like your friend is a pretty cool guy and seriously this site is full of some awesome people. See ya around the forum

Chelsea is fine. I litterally only came out today, so Chelsea doesn't make me uncomfortable. I do have a gender neutral name in mind, but I even have to get used to it myself. It's Charlie. It goes with either the name Charolette or Charles. And it's been my favorite name as a kid. hah. So if you want to call me that. I could definitely get used to Charlie. Yeah, I like that...

Hi Charlie

Welcome to the forum.
I think it's relevant that you're still young, sometimes people need half their life to find out they belong to the opposite gender.
It's quite difficult to find out, with social pressure, rejecting and all these things.
You're pretty young and it's an advantage to know wich direction of your life will go.
So, I would say, make yourself at home and I'm sure you'll make a lot of friends here.
