I'm so psyched, I just got my supplements! It only took 6 days, but those were a long 6 days! I know I've seen a lot of people here be against the herbal supplement way of transitioning, but I've got no other options at the moment so I'm giving it a go to see what happens.

For me, the first step in becoming the person that I am inside my head is losing a lot of weight. I really do suspect that I have a thyroid problem because I've dieted & exercised hard core before and have never been able to lose an ounce or an inch. I can get to feeling better and gain more stamina, but I can not lose anything at all. Also, I'm dehydrated, have severely dry skin, and get sick, dizzy, lightheaded and nauseous if I have to stand up for more than a couple of hours. I've read the online medical information sites and those are symptoms of a thyroid problem. So I got thyroid complex support supplements in hopes that it can be of some help for losing weight.

I also got the testosterone trio which I read about somewhere on here. Magnesium, zinc and B6. And I got milk thistle to protect my liver in the process, should any testosterone be produced. I also got DHEA which I will try the one day on, one day off method to offset the estrogen production.

I'm thrilled with my decisions and have read up on each of these from at least a few sources before making any purchases. I could have gotten the TT stuff as well but felt I didn't understand that information enough to make a decision, so I skipped that for now. I've changed my eating habits and am comfortable living off of vegetables, fruit and meat and have cut out all pre-made, packaged, processed foods. The only thing pre-made in my diet now is a daily cup of nonfat yogurt so I get my calcium.

So I'll read the labels of my supplements and all the literature that came with it tonight and then begin taking them tomorrow.

Ok, so I'm reading a booklet that came with my order that tells all about vitamins and herbal supplements. I guess I should take a multivitamin too. I could grab a bottle of Centrum or something tomorrow while I'm out. But do I buy women's or men's formula? lol Logic tells me women's since I don't have men's parts, but uh, being a woman isn't my target so do I go with men's anyway?

Either vitamin is fine, honestly. They don't differ that much and won't hurt you, and neither cause any masculinizing or opposite effects.
Also, a thyroid problem is simple to fix with meds. I'm hypothyroid, (underactive thyroid) and all it took to diagnose was a blood test from my doc and I take one med, levothyroxine (its synthetic thyroid hormone) to make my thyroid level normal. That med is covered on the $4 generic list at my pharmacy, too. I would recommend you getting that tested before you take any of the stuff to specifically affect thyroid, cause messing with your thyroid without really knowing what's wrong can cause you to bounce from hyperthryoid to hypo and stuff and make it hard to detect on blood tests which one you really are when you see a doc.

Congrats to you on your journey. Herbal supplements are very good. I take Vitamin C, D, Quercitin, and will begin Vitamin E and B.
