LinkMore than 25 groups representing the community convened over the weekend at UNC, launching what participants believe will become an annual tradition.
"That is the goal, to have it every year," said Terri Phoenix, assistant director of UNC's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Office and one of the fair's principal organizers. "Too often we can have a narrow vision of what's going on in the community. But the fair provides greater awareness and also allows people to reach out to students here on campus."
