Hey, my name's Ben and I'm a ftm from Georgia.
My gender therapist recently told my mother and myself that I am ready to start taking testosterone. I'm all for it, but my mom doesn't want me to start T because she says that since my brain is still developing, I might change my mind once it stops growing, and that she doesn't want to be responsible for ruining my life by letting me start hormones right now. I'm beyond certain that I would never regret being on T, but Mom doesn't see it that way.

Has anyone had to go through something like this? If so, how did you handle it? Do you know of any good resources I can show her to try and get her to see that starting hormones at age 16 won't screw me up?

P.S. Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I'm new to the site and haven't figured it out just yet.

The only and best information I can give you is to look up info on other people that started hormones before turning 18. I know Skylarkeleven on youtube started when he was 17 or so.
