Has anyone had their top surgery with Dr. Buckley?

My therapist is ready to write a letter for me but I want to make sure I have everything I need.  Does she require that you have been on hormones?  Does she require 2 letters?  My insurance will cover the entire cost of the surgery if I go to her.  I just want to know what I have to do before I make a consultation appointment because once i get to that point I don't want to drag things out b/c I still need to get my ducks in a row.

You might check and see if the Doctor has a website.  If not you should call her office and ask someone working there, I'm sure they would give you all the information you need.

I presume that you mean Dr. Marie-Claire Buckley of the University of Minnesota?

I can't seem to find any contact info or which of the hospitals she works out of.

This is directly from a letter I recieved from her office.

Dr. Buckley follows the WPATH Standards of Care for Gender Reassignment Surgery, which requires;
"One letter from a mental health professional ... written to the physician who will be responsible for the
patient's medical treatment ..." Please review the enclosed Standards of Care guidelines, and bring a
copy of this letter to your consultation with Dr. Buckley.

It does not say anything specifically about being on T.
