Okay, I've been meaning to ask this for a while, but I keep forgetting. It's nearly impossible to Google search this thing that's happening to me because it just brings up trachea shaves. Before HRT, I never had an issue with this. I'm not sure how far I was into it, maybe six to eight months, but from some point on, my trachea has felt like it's migrating. It was very troublesome before and has settled down a lot, but I can still pop it around in my neck and occasionally, it gets into a weird position and I tilt my head down as far forward as I can to pop it back into place. This has been accompanied with a shift upward in pitch, but I believe that's more correlative than causative, or perhaps wholly unrelated. There was no external physical event that caused it that I'm aware of. I'm just wondering if anybody else has had a similar experience. I really did my research before beginning transition, but I've encountered a lot of things I didn't expect.
I've dropped a shoe size, I've lost an inch in normal standing height, my hips spent several months in a transitive state before completely rolling over permanently, and also this most curious development. Feedback, anybody?
I had an interesting theory that this could be some type of medical condition that's occurred separately from transition. The next thing to cross my mind was that if that's the case, there's a snowball's chance in hell that I could wrangle my insurance into paying for "corrective surgery", if you know what I mean. ;-)
