Question. Between 1-15-11 and 4-17-11 I've been on a "standard low" dose of HRT for MTF transsexuals consisting of finasteride, estradiol, and spironolactone. Beginning on 4-18, I started the "standard dose" where the estradiol and spiro were doubled, finasteride remaining the same.

Two things I've noticed about my breasts:

1: Over the past couple of weeks the nipples have fluctuated in size. One second the areolas are larger and more feminine and the next they are quite small and more male.

2: Starting last night and somewhat this morning, a clear but somewhat milky fluid will discharge from both breasts after I squeeze the nipples.

I'm surprised because the effects I'm noticing from HRT are significantly faster than expected. My sex drive is very low and the male parts are completely non-functional. Literally I could not get them to work even if my life depended on it. Does everything sound pretty normal or should I be concerned? Thanks.

Leaking is normal, lack of function is one of the ymmv things but I'd mention it to your dr. I noticed a slight increase in e put things into working order again.

I assume by "lack of function" you meant the sex organs/sex drive. That much I'm glad of. I don't want them to work anymore and if they do start working I will mention it to the doctor. It is not that I am asexual but I really want intimacy without male parts and without male function and drive.

In the event they do start functioning normally don't stress out. You are going through puberty and will have your body do some pretty insane things to you. Up to and possibly including going from being attracted to men, to women, then back to men, then(in my case) liking both!

You might start functioning again as well. In this event I wouldn't be concerned unless you start getting the random erections and other such things that you use to get from T. If it functions when excited and in the heat of the moment then that is also very normal even on max dosage of E and with an orchiectomy it still can.

Other then that sounds like you are very well on your way sweetie! Hold on tight and enjoy the ride cause it gets very interesting, often times frightening and always exciting!

As far as the male drive, it's a ymmv thing again but I can say the way my sex drive functions now is very, VERY different then before, so pay attention to when you do get excited and see what it feels like. You may just surprise yourself!
