Not only did my kinda conservative, religious family who's never accepted anything else about me instantly accept me as a guy and call me Seth, but one of my best friends who's got a degree in psychology and studied speech patterns & how people use language just told me that my speech patterns & how I use language is male. And he thinks my family probably always knew I was a guy or at least isn't shocked by it since I have always carried myself like a guy. It's so surreal right now but I'm totally stoked. That made my week, or maybe even the whole year.

Congratulations!

Glad to hear that they all took it so well, that's great news!

Very Cool 8).

I suppose maybe if a young person does not hide how they are feeling, maybe it prepares the family in some way mentally not to be so shocked.

Roxy, hid very well. It was not a suprise to me when she came out. I knew her very well. Her family did not however, and it was a complete suprise to them. Anything that was not about themselves or for themselves was of no interest to them.  They have handled themselves very badly. They suggest that they will not accept what is. I cringe when I think of them and who they are and how they behave.

I am glad that this has gone great for you. Your parents seem like they are at peace now with the understanding of who you are. I wish that for everyone. Thank you for sharing.
Many big hugs.

That's true, I've never hidden who I am from anyone. I've always worn my emotions on my sleeve. Of course my mom wanted a little girlie girl but from as young as I can remember, I always wanted the boy's clothes & toys so I guess it's no big shock to my family. I feel bad for everyone whose families aren't accepting, because gender, sexuality and all those superficial things just seem like such a non-issue to me.
