Okay, sooooo I made an account a while back, but for some reason I forgot my password and forgot which email I used to reset the password, but then I figured it's easier to just start fresh. Plus I figured I wanted to really get serious about posting on the forums. The name "Mariposa" is actually spanish for "Butterfly" (Since I am spanish.)
Now onward to my introduction!
My name is Amilia and I just recently celebrated my 24th(Aaah! I'm getting older!) birthday on the 3rd with a bunch of my closest friends (A few of them post on Susan's). I've actually had the pleasure of getting to meet a few people from Susan's through my good friend Maia, like Jackie(She rocks!) and Sara(For like a hot minute!).
I started this whole thing in my teens and never looked back. It was a little hard in the beginning as I had no actual support group other than my immediate family and any friends I did have at the time just simply didn't (and couldn't) understand how much of an emotional struggle it was for me. So essentially, I was pretty much on my own and all I could really rely on was the information I could find online, such as hormones, name change, etc. And as soon as I did all of that, I pretty much lived in "stealth".
And then about two years ago I started attending these support group meetings here in my area and since then i've been a lot more comfortable and embrace who I really am and never looked back!
