Hello,

I'm new to this particular forum, but it seems like a good place, so I signed up.  My name is Alice, i'm 26, and I'm going to start my transition shortly.  Best of luck to me, I guess.  Sometimes I don't feel all that hopeful, but I think I'll make it.

After a few tumultuous weeks, I think things have calmed down for the moment.  This would be my second attempt at the entire transition business.  I had stopped before for a relationship, now defunct beyond repair.  I had spent about 6 months on hormones, 1 year on blockers, and I don't know why, but I remembered I was being read as female by people even though no female clothes, no makeup, and even basics like thick eyebrows and facial stubble were still there.  Although I have gained about 50 pounds between then and now, and losing that weight would be grand.

So here it goes, I suppose.

PS. Does the verification thing ever go away after a certain post count?

Yes it goes away.  Read the terms of service; those will give you the post requirements for such.  And, welcome!  This is a very active, and inviting community.  You'll find lots of support, and information here.  And, huzzah for, "take-two"...

Hello Alice,
Hon, yes you can make it.
At your age you should be able to transition very quickly.
Welcome to Susan's.
