This isn't really a question or anything but I just had to share with guys (&gals) who really understand where my joy is coming from! I mean my non trans mates could feel my happiness but not like y'all can..
I just had a trip home with the family for Easter etc and met my niece for the first time and attended her Christening. My brother a couple of months ago asked me to be her god parent. I didn't quite know if he meant god father or where this was going to go but of course I said yes.
I still wasn't sure until we got to the church and the god mother rocked up which meant I became my little niece's god father yesterday much to my delight! Although there were slip ups with pronouns over the break, most of the time people got it right, shook my hand where appropriate and I got to be known as Uncle Jay to everyone publically for the first time since coming out
The bit that made me most chuffed was when my brother thanked me for being god father, shook my hand and kind of bro hugged me. We haven't really talked about my transition like ever (I'm over a year on T lol) so this for him and me was a big deal! Even my dad has stopped expecting a kiss on the cheek when we say goodbye!!
