We're the United States of America. The land of the free. The land of opportunity. We should be setting a shining example in the GBLT community for other nations. And what do we do? We rape lesbians, we call gays abomination, we beat up trans women because they want to use the women's room.

Why do I say "we"? Because, again, those that sit idly by do nothing to stop it. We hide behind religion. We hide behind "not knowing" or just by being silent. We're a nation that does nothing to protect the most fragile, vulnerable. scared citizens.
