You sisters in the West are so lucky people are more open-minded. Here, EVERYDAY before I step out the house I pray and fear what NEW INSULTS I'm gonna hear each day. I try to avoid the max as I can but at times I retaliate when I can't take it anymore. I generally do not when it's a gang of straight guys, afraid to get beaten.

That does sound like a stressful way to live. It's important that you understand why you feel like there is a struggle so you can resolve it as quickly as possible. Why are you getting public insults every day?

You seem stressed in many of your threads. I'm sorry that your going through that. What can we do to help?

As Spacial mentioned, can you tell us some more of the issue? If your just venting, that's cool too. But we cant do much more than listen, if that's the case.

Which country do you live in? You say "you in the west" so I assume that you don't live in a western country.

Cultural differences can be huge.

I recently watched a series of interesting videos made by a crossdresser who likes to record scenes of herself walking about different cities around the world. In a set of videos she made in New York nobody gave her a second glance. However, in her Tokyo video it was interesting to see the constant whipping of the heads of pedestrians as they stared at her as she walked past. I imagine if she were in the Middle East or a place where people are less open-minded and more inclined to voice their opinion, then those stares might be laced with insults.

That said, it can happen in even the most liberal society.

Depends hugely where you live in the West.  Me, it's a moderate sized conservative town out in the farmlands, it's metro enough  I'm getting guys smiling at me when the hell did that ever happen before?  Maybe I'm only noticing it now?  But I don't think so.  I'm also getting drunks joking with me and teenagers bantering these people are no threat to me physically, I'm still presenting as male but the real me is coming through now, age certainly helps as I'm in my mid thirties.  My male barrier is gone I erected it in my teen years even though I didn't want too stupid heh?  Did because of what I thought my family wanted, but that's not the whole story I also see myself as androgyne though I identify as female, the androgyne acknowledges I have a male side, but I'm 100% female for me the male enhances the female.   Maybe the male barrier many of us erect is still there and is partially causing you problems?

How do people know that you're trans?

You know...if I really wanted to be 100% passable I could do it by dressing like a normal bio female and by wearing discrete make up BUT I WILL NOT BE ME. I like wearing DAZZLING & FLASHY MAKE UP and dress VERY PROVOCATIVELY and with HIGH HEELS OF MINIMUM 6 INCH always and the way I walk. I'm more or less passable but it's MY STYLE that betrays me cos the normal girls of my country don't dress like this, wear make up or high heels, and walk like a Top Model constantly, only prostitutes do. (Though I'm not really a prostitute) I guess the way I dress would be consider normal by Western standards.
