Why do people call themselves your friend but the second they get mad at you they start sayin stuff about you being trans?
Yesturday someone flipped cause I told them to calm down and he got in my face...lets not go there but then he started calling me a ->-bleeped-<-...why do people go there?

It makes me SO mad.

When folks feel threatened or they don't know, they often lash out and resort to insults.  It just shows that they lack the skills to communicate to deal with the situation.  The important question though is this person really your friend if they resort to such hurtful remarks.

It's hard not to make immediate generalizations when you don't know much about the subject. If they're willing, tell them about it; insults like that usually stem from being uneducated about the subject. If they won't listen, then don't mention it again, and when they're ready, they'll ask. Sometimes it just takes people a little longer than three seconds to get a grip on what you're saying.

Such is as anger goes. People can be foolish at times.

But even so, don't damn the friends even if perhaps so called at their first infraction. Sometimes it takes hurt to get people to change.

If they do not learn and try to be destructive then perhaps one is better off further away from such people, friend or no.

Yes, Draeden. Maybe if when we're in these situations, we could take a mental step back and try to see where their comments stem from? I think, a little understanding is needed on both sides. Talking about it in a forum is good and well, but it's in the real world where every second and reaction counts where we need to be prepared to speculate ( on the spot ). If the other party sees that we are willing as individuals ( and perhaps "as a group," because you really do represent the whole group in situations like that ) to set aside the argument and begin to simply understand they might feel more inclined to do the same, for us.
