Janet Ulrich Brooks admitted that she didn't know what "stone butch" meant when she took the role of Cav in Sylvan Oswald's world premiere production of "Pony." "I didn't realize that it has become a term for a certain transgender individual," the Oak Park actor said.

That's how Cav is described in "Pony," running in repertory with Sean Graney's new adaptation of Georg Buchner's unfinished classic "Woyzeck" as part of "The Woyzeck Project," being staged by About Face Theatre and The Hypocrites.
