So I am here thinking about my future and figured I needed to ask everybody here for some input.
I know years ago it was recommended you wait a year on T before getting top surgery.  I don't know if that is still the case. So.....

1) How long were you on T before top surgery?
1a) If you had it before the 1 year anniversary of T, do you think it made a difference?  If so, what?

2) After the surgery, what was your down time before going back to work?

Thanks in advance for the answers.  I am trying to figure out the best time to have it done if finances are good to go.

3 years.

n/a

I'm currently "celebrating" my down-time.  =)

Sorry for lack of detailed input, but hey a replies is a reply. =P

Thanks Joey, at least you answered.  Hoping some more folks will pipe in.  I don't want to make a bad decision because I am impatient or whatever.

I've not had surgery, but it may be worth knowing that there are advantages to having surgery both pre and post testosterone. High oestrogen levels mean your skin will be softer and scars will lighten faster. Being on testosterone for over a year gives your body shape/fat redistribution a chance to settle down, and also gives you time to build muscle. Good pectorals will give the surgeon something to work with and usually means you get a more accurate nipple placement, with the scars hidden on the underside of the pecs.

It's all worth considering, but when you're in the first year of T, you don't really get either of those advantages unless you fancy working your ass off for the pecs.
