I'm so sick of how easy it is for me (and just how much the world wants me) to get addicted to sugar and eat it every day.

2 days into being off it now, bad cravings earlier tonight which I fended off with salty snacks. I ate no sugar for 18 months a couple of years ago, when I was recovering from a candida invasion, and I'm going to see how long I can last again.

This means no chocolate either, of course - life on the edge :o.

It's hard.  But during my last two months on HRT, sweets seems to be sweeter, to the point that it seems sickening sweet!  I'm trying to stay away from the soda pop and I have lessened my dosage of the stuff in my iced tea.

I like to bake things using unsweetened applesauce in place of sugar.  You can get some really tasty things using that and baking chocolate.  There are other recipes I really love that use fruit as a sweetener.  This is one of my favorites.  (You can leave out the sugar, and it still tastes great.)
